Danube ~ river branch Karloveské rameno

Karloveské rameno is the most famous and most visited Danube branch in Bratislava. It branches off from the mainstream just below the Devín Quarry.

We step into the water from a sandy beach to the almost standing water, where you get a short training from the instructor and test your paddling skills and balance on the board. The water flows moderately to slowly. During the voyage, a slight paddling is required, but it is also possible to lie on the board and let yourself be carried away by the pleasant current.

On both sides of the river, we are constantly surrounded by a beautiful wild forest, which is part of the Sihoť conservation area. Towards the end of the tour, the branch widens and divides into more branches, so it is possible to circle the smaller islands created by the complex system of river branches.

We will finish touring on a rowing pontoon next to the legendary buffet on the Mark Twain boat. After deflating and packing the paddleboards, your vehicle will be waiting for you. After such a beautiful experience, you will not be able to shake the good mood for a while.

  • Length of the tour: 3 h
  • Length of paddling: 2 h
  • Distance: 4,7km
  • Water type: slower flow
